Montana turned the tables on Wyoming and posted a 90-79 victory to raise its series advantage to 17-9. Kraig Abbey came off the bench to score 18 points. Daren Engellant and Wayne Synan contributed 16 each. Engellant grabbed 15 rebounds to lead Montana to a 49-37 domination on the boards. Corey Fulmer scored 14 points to lead Wyoming.

Marty Schad’s three point basket with 16 seconds left saved Wyoming an 85-83 victory. Wyoming, which had led by as many as 11 points in the first half, trailed 81-78 in the final minute. Dale Reed and Kreg Adams led Wyoming with 20 points each. Gary Kane of Butte scored 23 points to lead Montana. Chris Herriford of Gardiner added 16.

Wyoming completed its third sweep in series history by posting a 78-75 victory. Montana led 43-41 at halftime but Wyoming opened the second half with an 11-2 run keyed by 6’9” Brian Rewers of Thermopolis. Wyoming went on to build a 70-62 lead before Montana rallied to take a 73-72 advantage on a basket by Gary Kane. Wyoming responded with five straight points and never trailed again. Kreg Adams paced Wyoming with 16 points. Rewers contributed 14 and marty Schad and Scott Schroeffel added 10 each. Kane and Chris Herriford scored 16 apiece for Montana. Eric Hilleboe added 15.

Montana overwhelmed Wyoming 122-58, to set records for margin of victory (64), most points in a half (70) and most points in a quarter (42). Montana led 52-27 at halftime and pulled away with 42 points in the fourth quarter. Jim Bement led Montana with 22 points and 10 rebounds while Robb Dundas grabbed 12 rebounds and scored 12 points.

In the final seconds, Bob Traylor scored from short range and Trevor Larson sank two free throws to give Wyoming a 75-73 victory at the Metra. Montana had come back from 16 points behind in the fourth quarter to lead 73-71. Kevin Gettings and Larson led Wyoming’s balanced scoring with 13 each. Curtis Smith scored 16 for Montana.

Montana went on a 30-11 scoring spree in the first 12 1/2 minutes of the second half, and wound up whipping Wyoming 89-69. Darby’s Kirk Walker, who shot a perfect 13-13 from the free throw line, topped Montana with 19 points. Bozeman’s Adam Leachman, who was 7-7 from the field, contributed 16 points and 13 rebounds. Montana trailed by as many as eight points on three occasions in the first half. The Treasure State cagers, however, came out more aggressive defensively in the second half and outscored Wyoming 22-11 in the third quarter. Montana also went on an 8-0 scoring binge to begin the fourth period.

In a game that at times resembled a highlight film, and at other times a YMCA tussle, Montana ran over Wyoming 95-73 in the second game of the 17th Annual Montana-Wyoming All-Star series at Rocky Mountain College’s Fortin Center. Montana scored the first 16 points of the game, an advantage it never lost as it ran its record in the series to 20-14. Point guard Kirk Walker again led Montana with 20 points and five assists. Billings Senior’s Tyler Dahlberg added 15 points, Shawn Samuelson of Broadus tallied 12 to go along with 11 rebounds, and Bozeman’s Matt Correa added 10 points for Montana. Wyoming missed its first 12 shots before Steven Doyle followed up a miss by Ben Lemke to make it 16-2 with 2:48 left in the first quarter.

Mike Hayter, Reece Gliko, and J.R. Camel led the Montana All-Stars on a 111-94 win over the Wyoming All-Stars. In all, six Montana players were in double figures. Cory Jones led the Wyoming All-Stars with 17 points, 9 of them coming via 3-point field goals. Montana outrebounded Wyoming 58-39.

Wyoming trailed 63-53 when Jonath Jackson sparked a 14-4 run. Jackson, who scored eight points in the surge, finished with 25 points. Ben Phillips added 16.

Keith Erickson’s free throw with 35 seconds remaining lifted Montana to an 87-86 victory and its third consecutive series sweep. Montana led by as many as 12 points in the early going, but had to overcome a six-point deficit in the final four minutes. Ty O’Connor led Montana with 17 points. Erickson contributed 15 and mark Hamilton 14. Ben Phillips and Scott Sanderson had 15 each for Wyoming.

Wyoming earned a split of the opening night of the Montana-Wyoming All-Star Basketball series with a 92-77 win in the boys game. A sluggish start was the culprit for Montana as Wyoming’s boys won on their home floor for the first time in nine years. Kyle Vinich scored 19 points and Colby Wollenman added 16 to lead Wyoming The win was Wyoming’s first on the court at the Golden Dome since June 7, 2002, when it won 112-100. Montana had won five of the last six meetings. But the Treasure State all-stars didn’t score until midway through the first quarter (a 3-pointer from Kurtis Parsons) and couldn’t keep pace once it fell behind in the second half. The stars from the Treasure State appeared to be on their way to salvaging a split in the 35th annual Montana-Wyoming All-Star Series Saturday night. But a double-digit lead wasn’t enough. Taran Brown hit a tying 3-pointer to force overtime, and Wyoming fought for a 90-84 victory. The win secured a sweep Wyoming Sesar Bonilla of Billings West made three free throws on separate trips to the foul line to give Montana a 68-58 advantage with 5:30 remaining in the fourth quarter. That’s when Wyoming went on a 17-7 run, capped by Brown’s double-clutch 3 to tie the game 75-75 with three seconds on the clock. Buffalo’s Aaron Tyser made the biggest shot in overtime for Wyoming, a straightaway 3-pointer at the 1:58 mark that gave the visitors an 86-82 lead. Taran Brown, who was also named Wyoming’s Mr. Basketball , finished with a game-high 31 points. He made 10 of 13 free throws, and also grabbed eight rebounds. Wyoming outrebounded Montana 48-36. Montana held a 47-33 lead at the 3:55 mark of the third quarter. Kurtis Parsons of Great Falls CMR and Bozeman’s Lincoln Powers led Montana with 17 points apiece. Tanner Roderick added 10 points. Parsons also grabbed a team-high eight rebounds. Wyomings Aaron Tyser finished with 13 points, while Big Horn’s Colby Wollenman had 13 points and a team-best 13 boards. A big mid-game scoring run gave the Montana boys all-stars to an 80-69 win over Wyoming in the first game of their annual basketball series Friday night. Montana, atoning for last year’s sweep at the hands of Wyoming. Manhattan’s Tanner Hupka led all scorers with 17 points while Great Falls High’s Shyke Smalls added 16 for the Montana All-Stars. Missoula Sentinel’s Riley King added 10 points for Montana. The game was tied at 26 midway through the second quarter when Montana began a 36-17 run. Josh Schultz started the run with a jumper with 3:30 remaining before intermission. McManamen led Wyoming with 12 points, while Rock Springs’ Chase Riley had 10.

Wyoming was in controll most of the early going having a 10-point lead midway through the third quarter, but Montana stormed back for the two-game sweep. Riley King from Missoula Sentinel made 9 of 16 shots and had 17 points in the second half to help the Big Sky State players overcome a 49-39 deficit. Wyoming got 22 points from Torrington’s Jason McManamen, who helped the Cowboy State build a 33-31 halftime lead. Chase Riley had 14 points to also finish in double digits for Wyoming.

The Montana All-Stars walked away with a sweep of Friday night’s games after the boys defeated the Wyoming All-Stars 93-78 in the first game of the Midland Roundtable Montana-Wyoming All-Star Basketball Series at the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome at Sheridan College. Two-time Gatorade Montana Player of the Year Brendan Howard from Great Falls led Montana in scoring with 18 points as five Montana players scored in double-digits. Kalispell Glacier’s Jaxen Hashley scored 16 points, Malta’s Nate Costin pumped in 11 and Billings Skyview’s RayQuan Evans and Billings West’s Braydon Deming each had 10. After racing to a quick first-quarter lead, Montana and Wyoming ended up tied heading into the second. Wyoming led briefly in the second quarter but Bozeman’s Drew Huse knocked down a 3-pointer to put Montana up 35-33 and it never trailed again. Eric Jamerman led all scorers with 21 points for Wyoming. University of Montana men’s basketball commit Kelby Kramer, who is listed at 6-foot-11, had 14 points. Montana improves to an all-time record 56-27 against the Wyoming All-Stars with the win. The Treasure State has won the last 11 meetings between the two, improving Montana Western coach Steve Keller’s record to a perfect 11-0 since he took over.

The Montana All-Star boys complete their two-game sweep on Saturday night with a 100-71win over the Wyoming All-Stars. Great Falls’ Brendan Howard led all scorers with 25 points in a game where he was named Montana’s Mr. Basketball before the tipoff. Howard is the two-time Gatorade Montana Player of the Year and headed to Eastern Washington. The football players were clutch for Montana. Kalispell Glacier’s Jaxen Hashley, who will suit up for the Bobcats, scored 19 points. His future MSU teammate, Troy Andersen from Dillon, added eight points. Billings West’s Braydon Deming, a future Grizzly, added 16. His twin brother Bryson, also a future Griz, had four points and contributed plenty in the passing and defensive game. Braydon also found Bryson in the final minute of the game for an easy layup that gave Montana its 100th point. Hashley helped kick start the offense, scoring nine points in the first quarter to give Montana an early 18-17 lead. The teams went into halftime tied 39-39, but Montana outscored Wyoming 35-11 in the third quarter. Howard had 12 points in the third and Braydon Deming and Hashley each added six. Wyoming was led offensively by Jaxon Hiatt, who had 13 points. Wyoming played both games without Wyoming Mr. Basketball and future Cowboy Hunter Thompson, who was out with a foot injury. Future Griz men’s basketball player Kelby Kramer had two points on Saturday after scoring 14 on Friday.

For the seventh straight season, the Montana All-Stars swept Wyoming in the Midland Roundtable Basketball All-Star Series, winning 95-80 on Saturday night at the Fortin Center at Rocky Mountain College. Montana jumped out to a 24-12 lead after the first quarter and was in control throughout. Billings Senior’s Connor Kieckbusch, Hardin’s David Evans and Belgrade’s Dawson Fowler each led Montana with 14 points and Anaconda’s Trent Mikalatos added 13. Great Falls CMR’s Garrison Rothwell also tallied 12. Fowler kickstarted things right away for Montana, scoring seven of the team’s first nine points. Mikalatos also came alive in the second quarter, knocking down three 3-pointers in route to getting 11 of his points in that frame while Rothwell scored nine of his points in the first half. Kieckbusch also tallied eight of his. Gatorade Player of the Year Sam Beighle of Missoula Sentinel helped keep Montana’s pace going in the third, scoring seven of his nine points. Sam Vining added seven points in the final frame and Montana Griz commit Mack Anderson added nine, including three dunks, one of which came off a lob from Kieckbusch. Shelby’s T.J. Reynolds added three points. Braxton Hiatt (Evanston) scored a game-high 22 points, with Cheyenne Central’s Willie Jones (19), Gillette’s Trey Hladky (14) and Buffalo’s Hayden Peterson (13) also finishing in double figures. Montana is now 14-0 under coach Steve Keller and now leads the all-time series 59-27.

Wyoming’s fourth-quarter comeback attempt fell short of snapping its now-15-game losing streak.
Montana led by just three after both the first and second quarters, Montana’s boys also used a third-quarter run to pull to start the fourth quarter with a nine-point lead 77-68. Wyoming using a 32- point fourth quarter cut into that lead. The comeback ultimately fell short in the final moments for a Montana 103-100 win to claim their 15th straight victory in the series. Montana was lead by Sayer Patton with 21 points, Blake Thelen 17, Brody Grebe 13, Chrishon Dixon 12, Jesse Owens 11, and Caleb Bellach 11 all scored in the double-digits. Wyoming was lead by Davion McAdam who scored a team-high 19 points, Colton Larson added 18, Tristan Bower and Treyton Paxton each added 11, and Hudda Curry scored 10 to round out the Wyoming scorers in double-digits.

Montana again saw big leads evaporate but for the second straight night was able to hang on to defeat Wyoming, this time by a 95-94 score at the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome in Sheridan. It didn’t come without some late-game theatrics. Montana led 44-30 in the second quarter and 73-61 at the start of the fourth but found itself tied 75-75 with a little more than seven minutes remaining. The Treasure State team again got some separation on baskets by Jesse Owens, Chrishon Dixon and Michael Haverfield, and a spinning shot by Bellach gave Montana a 90-84 lead with 2:51 left. Wyoming crawled back into it, with a three-point play by Tristan Bower and an Olsen drive to pull within 94-91 with 14 seconds left. Jesse Owens made one of two foul shots with 10 seconds to go, which proved to be Montana’s saving grace and extending the score to 95-91. Trailing by four in the final seconds, Trase Olsen made a 3-pointer from the corner at the buzzer. Olsen fell to the hardwood and the entire Wyoming team hoped for a foul and an opportunity to force overtime at the free throw line. However, the referees ruled that there was no foul and the game ended 95- 94 Montana by won in another hard fought and entertaining All-Star Basketball game for the second night in a row. A great weekend for All-Star Basketball. Montana is now 16-0 under coach Steve Keller and assistant coaches.

Marnie Overton of Baker scored 16 points including two big 3-pointers as Montana won 84-81 in double overtime. Overton’s first 3-pointer sent the game into overtime. She hit another early in the second overtime and passed to Sara Meyer of Livingston for a basket that gave Montana a five-point lead. Hillary Carlson led Wyoming with 22 points and 10 rebounds.

Bozeman’s Kirsten Tilleman scored in the final seconds to send the game into overtime and Montana posted a 79-70 victory. Torrie Cahill of Miles City totaled 19 points, 11 from the free throw line, and Ali Hurley of Anaconda had 15 points, six coming in overtime. Dani White of Lander Valley paced Wyoming with 17.

Wyoming ran up a 44-18 lead, but Montana rallies for an 84-74 victory behind Ali Hurley’s 16 points. Montana hit 14 of 19 shots in the third quarter and went on to outscore Wyoming 54-28 in the second half. Livingston’s SageIndendi had 13 points and Kirsten Tilleman collected 11 rebounds. Chelsey Lybeck of Cheyenne Central led Wyoming with 18.

Missoula Big Sky’s Tinkle pours in a record 34 points to rally Montana to an 83-76 triumph. The 6-foot-3 center tallied 21 points in the second half and also grabbed 10 rebounds. Her 55 point total for two games is a series record. Morgan Mines of Arvada-Clearmont led Wyoming with 22.

Lexie Nelson of Butte High scored 23 points, including nine in overtime, to help Montana to a 92-85 OT win. Jordan Sullivan of Sidney and Sammi Bignell of Helena Capital added 12 points each. Courtney Patterson of Rock Springs led Wyoming with 19 points and Kayla Fakelman of Casper Kelly Walsh added 19.

Montana stretched its winning streak in the series to seven straight games with a record-breaking 95-73 win. Sidney’s Jordan Sullivan scored 21 points and the 95 points eclipsed the previous record of 93 scored by Montana in 2002. Ruth O’Neal of Lander led Wyoming with 15 points.

The Montana girls led from start to finish and extended their Montana-Wyoming All-Star Series winning streak with a 94-65 victory over Wyoming. Kalli Durham scored a game-high 18 points and Quinn Peoples added 14 as Montana won for the eighth straight time. Montana had a 31-point fourth quarter & a 50-point first half. Five players scored in double figures for Montana. Joining Miles City’s Durham — who converted a four-point play in the fourth quarter — and Butte Central’s Peoples, were Muri of Billings West (13), Elliott of Billings Central (10) and Kayleen Goggins of Shepherd (10). Nine of Montana’s 10 players found the scoring book by the end of the first quarter. Wyoming was lead by Megghan Sipe, of Cheyenne East, led Wyoming with 16 points, while Meeteetse’s Brodie Bennett added 10.

Montana continued its domination of the Montana-Wyoming All-Star Series by beating their Cowboy State counterparts 93-79 to complete a two-game sweep for the fourth straight year. Kalli Durham led Montana with 18 points for the second consecutive night as the all-stars from the Treasure State ran their winning streak to nine games overall. Wyoming hasn’t won since the first game of the 2007 series, and at no point in this year’s series did it have a lead in either game. Montana also received double-digit scoring from Danielle Muri (14 points) and Kayleen Goggins (11 points), while four other players — Bailey Snelling, Morgan Klose, Jackie Elliott, and Maggie Rickman — scored nine points each. Maggie Rickman from Helena Capital who will play at the University of Montana, grabbed 15 rebounds. Montana has now reached the 90-point mark in each of the last four games. Meghan Sipe led Wyoming with 12 points — nine coming in the fourth quarter — and Lee added 11. Brittany Lawson had a double-double for Wyoming, collecting 10 points to go along with her team-high 11 rebounds. Wyoming made nine 3-pointers, but shot just 36 percent from the floor (27 for 75). Montana shot better from the floor making 30 of 62 shots for 48 percent. Montana’s Alex Brammer dressed but didn’t play the Dillon guard tweaked her back –re-aggravating an old pole vaulting injury – during Friday night’s game. The Montana squad suited up its Gatorade soccer player of the year in Elliott, its Gatorade basketball player of the year in Muri, and its Gatorade volleyball player of the year in Helena’s Monica Grimsrud.

The girls from Montana moved their winning streak over their Wyoming counterparts to 10 straight with an 82-64 win on Friday night in the first game of this year’s all-star basketball series. Helena High’s Kyndal Williams led Montana with 15 points, while Fairfield’s Molly Klinker added 14 and Missoula Sentinel’s D.J. Reinhardt 11. Wyoming’s Madison Forney, of Rawlins, led all scorers with 17 points. The 6-foot-2 post made 13 of 17 free throw attempts, while Laramie’s Ragen Wilson added 12 points for Wyoming. Mikayla Brower of Torrington chipped in 11. Montana turned a close game into a runaway in the second half. The girls from the Treasure State scored 48 points in the second half and used a 14-6 run to start the third quarter to take control.

Madison Browning scored 16 points to lead four Wyoming All-Stars as they cruised to a 77-67 win over Montana at the Fortin Center on the campus of Rocky Mountain College. The win avenged Friday night’s 82-64 loss and also snapped Montana’s 10-game winning streak in the series. Ellie Tinkle led the Montana team with 16 points while Peyton Ferris followed with 15.

Montana made just one bucket in the fourth quarter, but continued its recent dominance with a 70-69 victory. Jayde LeFevre of Laurel scored 19 points to lead all scorers, while Stevensville’s Alycia Sims chipped in 15. Wyoming was led by McCorra Ford and Sierra Toms, both of Gillette, who had 15 and 13 points, respectively.

Wyoming sailed to a record-setting 65-49 win. It was Wyoming’s second win in the last three games of the series. Montana had never scored less than 54 in the previous 33 games. Gillette’s Dani Williams and McCorra Ford and Cheyenne’s Elissia Johnson each had 10 points. Laurel’s Jayde LeFevre topped Montana with eight.

Fairfield’s Jill Barta made a 3-pointer with four seconds remaining to lift the Treasure State to a 57-55 victory. Barta finished with 19 points, including 12 in the first half. Cassi Hashley scored 10 points and Olivia Roberts put in nine for the winners. Kaylee Johnson, Kacie O’Connor and Julia Seamans had nine each for Wyoming.

Julia Seamans scored eight points in overtime to help Wyoming past Montana 81-75. Fairfield’s Jill Barta made one of five free throws with 1.8 seconds in regulation, needing to make two for the go-ahead points. She was awarded five free throw attempts after being fouled on a 3-point shot and a technical on Wyoming.

Manhattan’s Brooke Jones scored a game-high 17 points, including 12 in the second half, to lead Montana to a 72-54 win. Montana led 30-26 at intermission before pulling away. With the win, Montana leads the series 25-12 and has won 13 of the last 15 games. Colstrip’s Brina Hull and Hamilton’s Taylor Goligoski each scored 13. Helena Capital’s Mckenzie Johnston added 10 points. The Treasure State outscored Wyoming 25-15 in the fourth quarter. Cheyenne South’s Dani Noble and Riverton’s Camey Fegler each scored nine.

The Montana girls completed a weekend sweep with a 72-57 win. With the win, the Treasure State has won 14 of the previous 16 contests. Montana leads the series 26-12. Montana took control in the third, outscoring Wyoming 19-8. Liz Klinker of Fairfield led Montana with 11 points. Brooke Jones of Manhattan and Madisyn Shaide of Missoula Big Sky each had 10. Dani Noble of Cheyenne South and Dylan Wright of Sheridan had 10 for Wyoming.

Wyoming rallied from a nine-point first-deficit to beat the Treasure State 71-64.Emily Robertson and Jessie Geer teamed for 38 points as Wyoming claimed its first victory at Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome since 2007.Casper’Natrona’s Robertson scored a game-high 20 points. Geer, of Gillette, pumped in 18. Wright’s Kylee Tresch converted on a 3-point play with under three minutes left as the Cowboy State claimed the lead for good. St. Labre’s Shiloh McCormick paced the Treasure State with 12 points.

St. Labre’s Shiloh McCormick led all scorers with 20 points as Montana beat Wyoming 62-56 to split the series. Malta’s Hailey Nicholson, Havre’s Dani Wagner and Broadview-Lavina’s Alexi Payne each scored eight. Worland’s Hailey Schneider was Wyoming’s top score with 17 points.Gillette’s Jessie Geer added 14. Wyoming was aiming for its first sweep since 2006. Montana leads the series 27-13 and has won 14 of the last 18 against the Cowboy State.

The Montana girls All-Stars survived a late Wyoming comeback to beat the Wyoming All-Stars 69-68 on Friday night in the first game of the Midland Roundtable Montana-Wyoming All-Star Basketball Series. Hannah Collins from Great Falls High led all scorers with 15 points. Riana Rogers of Bozeman scored 12 and Fairfield’s Natalie Klinker added nine to help lead the Montana All-Stars to the victory. After leading comfortably throughout most of the game, Montana struggled to score in the final five minutes of the game, and held an eight-point lead with just over two minutes remaining in the game. Wyoming made a furious comeback with layups and forced turnovers, but Malta’s Sophia Stiles blocked the final shot attempt to seal the win for Montana. Stiles’ block still gave Wyoming .9 seconds to get a shot off, but the Cowboy State was unable to do so. Collins came out hot in the first half, scoring 10 of her points and blowing past defenders with ease. Kalina Smith led Wyoming in scoring with 13 while Lyndzi Rich had 12. Kalispell Flathead’s Tiana Johnson added eight points for Montana, which improves to 28-13 in the all-time series.

The Montana All-Star girl’s teams took care of business on Saturday night beating Wyoming All-Stars 86-60 to complete their two-game sweep. Fairfield’s Natalie Klinker led Montana in scoring with 15 points. Kalispell Flathead’s Tiana Johnson pitched in 14 points, Malta’s Sophia Stiles netted 12 and Kalispell Glacier’s Nikki Krueger and Butte Central’s Mollie Peoples each had 11. Thanks to tough defense, the starting group jumped to a quick 15-4 lead in the game and never seemed to let up from there. Peoples, contributed from the 3-point line, knocking down three treys in Saturday’s win. The Montana girls improve their all-time record against Wyoming to 29-13 in the series. Kalina Smith led all scorers with 17 points for Wyoming.

Defense and low scoring was the key to tonight’s game as the Montana All-Star girl’s team defeated Wyoming All-Stars tonight 61-37 in the first game of the series this weekend. Montana didn’t exactly light it up in the first game of the series this weekend. In fact, the 61 points scored on Friday marked the second-lowest total number of points scored by a winning team in the series since Montana scored a 57-55 win in 2014. University of Montana commit Kylie Frohlich of Missoula Sentinel led all scorers with 11 points, while Montana State commit Brynley Fitzgerald of Dillon and Butte Central standout Kloie Thatcher chipped in 10 markers apiece in the girls’ victory while Kailee Oliverson 8, Kamden Hilborn 4, Shainy Mack 5, Jordyn Schweyen 5, Taylor Sullivan 6, Dani Urick 2 all contributed to the scoring. Wyoming scoring was lead by Emmery Wagstaff 10, with help from Kierra Cutright 4, Mollie Wilson 4, Maddi Hieb 5, Kristy Dick 2, Haley McDermott 2, Maddy Vinich 6, Mariah Robinson 4.

Wait a minute. Are you supposed to take defense seriously in all-star games?
For the Montana girls contingent of the Midland Roundtable basketball series, the answer was ‘yes’ the past two days. Montana rolled up an 84-35 win over Wyoming Saturday night at the Rocky Mountain College Fortin Center. The game was scoreless for the first 5:41 while playing only play 10-minute quarters scoring 84-points turned out to be pretty good. Montana outscored Wyoming 29-4 over the game’s final 6½ minutes. The 35 points were the fewest ever scored in the series that began in 1997, a mark Wyoming had set Friday night in a 61-37 defeat. Five players scored in double figures for Montana, led by Kailee Oliverson’s 14. Jordyn Schweyen of Missoula Sentinel scored 12 points, Urick and Dillon’s Brynley Fitzgerald added 11, and Shainy Mack of Three Fork’s finished with 10. Oliverson, a Twin Bridges standout who was named the Northern Sports Network’s Miss Basketball before the game started. Wyoming’s Natrona County graduate Kristy Dick led Wyoming with nine points, followed by Emmery Wagstaff (Evanston) with eight. No other player scored more than five points. Montana won its fifth consecutive game in the series and holds a 31-13 advantage all-time winning the last five meetings .

Montana extend its six-game winning streak with an 84-66 victory over Wyoming at MSUB’s Alterowitz Gymnasium. Montana led 39-32 at the half. Montana’s MSUB contingent provided an 11-0 run after Wyoming’s Miller hit a 3-pointer to start the second half to get her team within four. Montana’s other five-player group added a 13-6 run, the Treasure State had a 63-41 lead, which would be the biggest of the game. Montana’s girls using a 20-8 run in the third quarter pull away from a strong Wyoming squad for an 84-66 win. MacKenzie Dethman led a balanced attack with 14 points six other Montana players scored between eight and 12 points. Madison Miller led Wyoming with 24 points three other Wyoming players scored between 10 and 12 points.

The Wyoming girls tried to break the six game winning streak of Montana. By taking an early nine-point first-quarter lead however Wyoming’s lead quickly evaporated and became a distant memory. As Montana dominated the second half by outscoring the Wyoming 56-17 to cruise to an 89-46 win. Extending the winning streak to seven games in a row for Montana. Montana had 5 players score in the double-digits lead by Kyle Olson’s 17 points, followed by TyRaa Manuel’s 15 points and here sisters TyLee’s 10 points, along with Shayla Monague’s 12 points and MacKenzie Dethman’s 11 points. No Wyoming standout scored in double figures and Noelle Peterson was held scoreless which is very hard to believe would be possible. Wyoming’s leading scorer was Alexandria Trosper with 9 points, followed by Hailey Anderson and Kammie Ragsdale each with 8 points and Jennifer Aadland added 7 points.
